
Prepare the egg mixture:
In a large shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.
Soak the bread:
Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, letting it soak for 10–15 seconds per side. Make sure it’s well coated but not soggy.
Cook the French toast:
Heat a large non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat and add a little butter or oil. Fry the soaked bread slices for 2–3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve:
Serve warm with your favourite toppings — maple syrup, sliced bananas, strawberries, whipped cream, or a dusting of icing sugar.
