  • 500g beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2–3 spring onions, sliced
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
  • Sesame seeds and fresh coriander, for garnish (optional)
  • Marinate the beef:
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch. Add sliced beef and toss to coat. Let it marinate while you prep the veggies.

    Stir fry the beef:
Heat oil in a large pan or wok over high heat. Add the beef in batches and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.

    Cook the veggies:
In the same pan, add a splash of oil if needed. Stir-fry the bell peppers, broccoli, and carrot for 4–5 minutes until just tender. Add garlic, ginger, and spring onions and sauté for another minute.

    Combine and finish:
Return the beef to the pan. Toss everything together and cook for another 1–2 minutes until heated through and coated in the sauce.

    Serve:
Dish up over hot rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds and coriander if desired.
